The last two weeks have been busy with a few projects coming to an end. It is always funny to see how much is left to do in the last few days of a project in spite of staying planned for the entire duration. And having an active toddler around makes things more interesting. Anyhow, here are a few things I’ve loved reading/ watching/ doing the past week.

Some favorites and links I’ve loved

I read A Taste of Well-Being: Sadhguru’s Insights for Your Gastronomics book. You will find this book useful if you like simple, wholesome meals. The book mainly caters to the foreign audience, nevertheless, there are some good and easy Indian recipes for you to try.

I am also reading Anger: Buddhist Wisdom for Cooling the Flames. I haven’t finished reading the entire book yet but I love how the book insists upon mindfulness in everyday activities to calm oneself down.

At the moment, we are loving Rick Steves travel shows on Youtube. The episodes are calm and informative. Off late, I’m getting a feeling that travel content has become more about people who are making the content than the place itself. On the contrary, Rick Steves shows are so well made and I’m enjoying it.

I watched this documentary called ‘Seed: The Untold Story‘ – Great content and very informative. The focus is upon the heirloom seeds, the seed keepers around the world and the importance of seed banks. After watching this documentary, I realised that we would probably never know what the native rice, wheat or any food for that matter tasted (or looked) like.

Talking about wheat, I am reminded of the ‘Khapli’ variety of wheat that I used to buy when I lived in Pune. Khapli wheat is the ancestor of the modern-day wheat. Luckily, a few regions in Maharashtra still grow the khapli wheat which is not genetically modified.

And finally, I thought I’ll share my love for Pinterest here. I have always been an Instagram person. But something changed last year. Now, Pinterest has become my go-to place to look for inspiration & ideas for home and travel. Lately, I am also stumbling upon many lovely blogs and articles on Pinterest – and I’m loving it.

I feel peaceful when I lie down in the grass and look up at the trees and skies. 🙂
